According to the information provided at customercenter.wsj.com, to schedule a temporary hold for your newspaper delivery in the Customer Center from the left navigation menu click "Suspend Subscription." Select the subscription to suspend and then enter the date you would like to begin your suspension along with the date to resume your delivery and click the "Schedule" button. The lead time to suspend your newspaper delivery for The Wall Street Journal is two publishing days from the date you make the request. The lead time to suspend your Barron's magazine delivery is three business days from the date you make the request.

In at least some cases, the easiest way to change credit card info is to allow the subscription to expire, then start a new subscription. The online and telephone support staff will be of no help.
